Comments from our first Satin tea dance on March 12th 2017:

Brilliant first event for "Satin" on Sunday. A lovely afternoon spent catching up on tango mates and dancing to brilliant music in plenty of space (for a change!) - Gilly G, Godstone

Very enjoyable event yesterday, lovely mix of very danceable (mainly nuevo) tango tracks, friendly, inclusive dancers, and tasty nibbles. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! - Janie F

Great dance and music today - Pamela R

I've been dancing tango for over 8 years now and I thoroughly recommend John Miller's tango tea dances at the Warren. Every track was a winner! Each tanda was chosen with care and given its own musical cohesion - they were simply a joy to express in dance! The sprung floor is brilliant and offers plenty of space. The food & tea was great, and the friendliness and approachability of the hosts superb. If you haven't discovered tango here - you simply must - it's a perfect 10! - Chrissie B

A most enjoyable afternoon and great music - Andrew V

Thanks ....really enjoyed an afternoon of nuevo tango. The dances were great and I loved the friendly atmosphere at a great venue. I left with a smile on my face and an ache in my feet. Look forward to the next milonga - John H, Hassocks

John and Karen, thank you for a sublime afternoon of tangoable music with delicious tea and cake. Will definitely be back for more. Loved the eclectic mix of expressive music. How refreshing. Thank you thank you - Claire O, Burgess Hill

Yes I agree with Claire and well worth the trip from Bexhill and Hastings. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon - Ginny B

Great afternoon John & Karen . . . Fabulous mix of traditional, Nuevo tango and blues etc. Loved it all. And great idea what you do with the ' cortinas' too!! . . . You've created a very enjoyable atmosphere in a venue with a fab floor for tango. I feel this event will attract dancers from other backgrounds that maybe find a whole evening of traditional tango a bit too heavy going. Will defo be back xx  Thank you - Jo

Fab afternoon. Music was great, would do a lot more tango if the music was always like this, quite playful and a change from the trad stuff  :). A bit of a gem and will be back next month - Ian B
Forgot to mention the cake as well  :), rather yummy (and the rest) - Ian B

Hi, thanks for a lovely friendly milonga with very good music. Lovely sprung wooden floor, friendly atmosphere and great nibbles.  :-)  In the words of General MacArthur, "I shall return", but I'll likely bring a car-full of dancers from the Portsmouth area with me. I'm pretty sure he didn't - Neil M, Portsmouth
